Northern Star Mining Corporation’s management team has a successful history of gold and mineral exploration, development and operational experience in North and South America and in various areas throughout the world. The Company’s management team has a solid industry track record and a board of directors that understands the mining industry and the importance of corporate governance.

George Pirie,

CEO, Director

Mr. Pirie has 29 years experience in the mining industry. In 1980 he was with Pamour Porcupine Mines, a division of Noranda, and later joined Dome Mines Limited in 1985. He was transferred to Vancouver Corporate Offices of Placer Dome Inc. in 1991. Mr. Pirie has held progressive positions in a number of Placer's divisions over a 20 year span, including Chief Financial Officer, Placer Dome Canada; President and Chief Executive Officer, Placer Dome Canada; and Executive Vice President, Placer Dome Inc. Mr. Pirie has served on a number of boards including the Mining Association of Canada. Mr. Pirie served as President and CEO of Breakwater Resources from July 2005 to November 2009.

Michel David, B.Sc.

Director

Mr. David comes to the Company with over 27 years of experience in geology and geophysics, base metal and precious metal exploration and mining. Mr. David obtained a B.Sc. in geology from McGill University in 1975, and has managed numerous projects in southern Africa, Brazil, Colombia, the Philippines, Korea, and throughout North America, with emphasis on the Abitibi gold belt in northwestern Quebec.

Richard Silas

Director, Corporate Secretary

Mr. Silas has an administrative background with junior resources companies. He has served as a director for several public and private companies in Canada and USA. Over the last seven years Mr. Silas has been president of Universal Solutions, a management company providing management and administration services for TSX Venture Exchange companies. Mr. Silas has also completed the Securities Program (Going Public, Director/Officers and Continuous Disclosure) from Simon Fraser University in 1997.

Jeffrey A. Cocks

Director

Mr. Cocks has an extensive financial, operational and administrative background, having close to twenty years experience with junior resource companies. Mr. Cocks has managed numerous multi-million dollar exploration programs throughout the world for several junior resource companies. He is presently a private consultant for a number of private and publicly traded companies. Mr. Cocks has served as a director/officer for numerous public companies both in the United States and Canada. Mr. Cocks completed the Canadian Securites Course in 1987 and the Securities Continuous Disclosure Program for Directors & Officers, through Simon Fraser University in 1996.

William Tehan

Director

Mr. Tehan started his investment career on Wall Street with Gilford Securities between 1993 and 1996. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Tehan held a position as an associate in the investment banking firm of Fine Equities. As an associate at Fine Equities, he worked on management and administration, restructurings, and various other banking deals. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Tehan has held various positions at Brean Murray and Co., a New York-based investment bank. In 2005, Brean Murray merged with Carret & Co. to form Brean Murray, Carret & Co. LLC. Mr. Tehan was promoted to managing director and, as portfolio manager, is responsible for managing part of the firm's $3.5-billion (U.S.).

Michael Waldkirch

CFO, Director

Mr. Michael N. Waldkirch, B.A., C.G.A., is Chief Financial Officer of Northern Star Mining Corporation. Mr. Waldkirch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia and has been a Certified General Accountant since 1998. Since 1999 he has held the position of Senior Partner with the Public Accounting firm Michael Waldkirch and Company, Certified General Accountants in Vancouver, BC. Mr. Waldkirch has extensive experience in providing a wide variety of financial and business consultancy services to public and private companies.
